*The RAMMYS ... tonight the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington will announce at a members' reception the 2013 RAMMYS theme. It will be hosted for the RAMW membership by Fujimar on 14th St and K. The annual chef and restaurant awards gala for RAMW will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park on Sunday, June 23. You should see the Tweets popping up around 6 p.m. with the unveiling ... remember last year it was Hats Off to Restaurants. What will 2013 bring?

It's one of my favorite events ... an evening of delicious food on Feb. 4 at the Ritz-Carlton Washington that helps raise awareness of ovarian cancer and support programs for women with the devastating disease. Ris Lacoste (RIS) steps in to assemble the dozens of celebrated women chefs from the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. It's the
