Yannick Cam's All Smiles: Bistro Provence Coming to Bethesda

I ran into Yannick Cam at Brasserie Beck tonight at a reception celebrating the launch of Bruce Rosen's Real Estate Counselors, PLL. Bruce helped Yannick put the deal together at the latest incarnation of one of DC's iconic chefs (that's Bruce and Yannick in the foto). Yannick told me he expects the 45-plus seat Bistro Provence to be open in four weeks with happy price points for this sensitive buyer's market. And with a bright smile, he talks about his open kitchen where you'll practically be able to shake hands with him from your table. I'm going to take a look at the menu next week -- but Cam assures me I will definitely see a greater emphasis on organic and local ... "Even I will be organic," he boasts.

It will be in March when he hits his full culinary stride ... that's when he thinks he will have his tasting room open on the second floor. Look for menus at $65 and $95 including wine.
